UCS Healthcare is a CARF-accredited, non-profit health care organization based in Des Moines, Iowa with additional offices in Knoxville and Ankeny. UCS offers a variety of health care services including outpatient substance use disorder counseling in individual and group settings, mental health therapy and psychiatric services, medication assisted treatment (MAT) for opiate and alcohol addiction and medical care.

UCS Healthcare is one of the only medication assisted treatment providers in central Iowa. We have a commitment to the Recovery Oriented Systems of Care. Our promise to our patients is an individualized, integrated plan that engages the resources of the entire community to address their issues. We are expanding our ability to serve multi-occurring needs and place an emphasis on professionalism and patient-centered care.

We serve a variety of diverse social, economic, and cultural populations and have been extremely successful in securing grants to assist that process. We are always looking for interns in the medical, substance use disorder, psychiatric and mental health fields as well as flexible and part-time (PRN) employees for a variety of positions such as CNA’s, LPN’s, RN’s, Pharmacists, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Technicians.

Current available positions

UCS Healthcare is expanding. In addition to our recent clinic relocation and expansion in Ankeny, in the coming months, we'll be partnering with other substance use and mental health treatment providers in Iowa to add medication units. This means that medication assisted treatment will be available to more patients who are seeking long-term recovery from addiction. New locations will include Waterloo, Knoxville, Burlington, Creston, Ottumwa and more. We are hiring full-time and part-time registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians and physician assistants in these locations.
