Join the UCS Family & Concerned Others Support Group

February 21, 2023

If a loved one is struggling with an addiction, you don't have to go it alone.

UCS has created the Family and Concerned Others Group for family members and concerned others who want to support those struggling with substance use. We provide tools and resources that help you cope, understand and heal from the effects of addiction on relationships.

With our support group, you will never feel like you're walking this difficult journey on your own again.  You will learn more about different types of addictions and how they affect families; gain knowledge about the recovery process; get tips for maintaining healthy boundaries in relationships; develop better communication skills with those close to your heart during these trying times — all while building valuable connections in our caring community where everyone understands what it feels like to face a similar battle as yours.

This small group format is open-topic and is driven by participants.

Topics cover:

  • Healing relationships
  • Supporting family members of a substance user
  • How to reestablish relationships
  • How to handle a relapse
