What Sets UCS Healthcare Apart From Other Nursing Jobs in Iowa

Our professional team works together to use industry-leading best practices and philosophies to tailor an effective plan for each client and family member in certain cases. This could not be possible without our team of nurses and counselors, which is why we offer a variety of benefits that reflect and emphasize the importance of work-life balance, mental health and personal and career development.

UCS Healthcare has a unique culture compared to other healthcare facilities that foster nursing careers and jobs in behavioral health. Because we emphasize the value of our patients’ physical and mental health, our treatment is much more individualized and slow-paced. Serving a variety of diverse social, economic and cultural Iowa populations, our nurses and counselors deserve the same compassion and respect that they give our patients.

We Have a Passion For What We Do

You’ve heard the saying, “When you love what you do, you won’t work a day in your life.” As a whole, we agree! Employees who find the most joy in their day are those who have a passion for holistic patient well-being and comprehensive healthcare. In many instances, we’ve found the employees who thrive at UCS are ones with a personal connection to one of our service offerings.

Enjoy Flexible Nursing Jobs & Hours

You can happily wish 12-hour shifts, overnights and Sunday hours a farewell because at UCS, we provide flexible nursing jobs that don’t include overworking our staff. On top of providing a balanced schedule, we offer a wide range of nursing and counseling jobs that generate a plethora of opportunities to maintain an exciting career at UCS Healthcare!

Supportive & Innovative Work Environment

There are greater learning opportunities and on-the-job training in our integrated, multidisciplinary care setting. Instead of following one focus area, you’ll have the opportunity to learn on-the-job training for many types of care. By putting our clients first, our nurses, counselors and doctors communicate openly about the treatments and plans to care for the patients.

Because we are a non-profit organization and value giving our patients modern care, we use our resources to try new and innovative solutions. One of the ways we are doing so is through the Opioid Settlement Fund from the Attorney General of Iowa. We used the funds to renovate an RV to use as our mobile clinic and are able to provide free healthcare services related to medicated assisted treatment (MAT) to underserved communities!

UCS Healthcare is the only healthcare organization in Iowa offering free services related to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) on a mobile clinic. Because our staff can see Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) patients and prescribe Suboxone, we’re able to save lives and care for underserved communities through our mobile medical services.
